Hi Lo Charters

Welcome to Hi-Lo Charters

Hi-Lo Charters is a full-service guide and lodging provider for the Kenai Peninsula area. Our specialty is King Salmon fishing on the Kenai River, but we offer a full range of planning and fishing resources for the sports fishermen. Please acquaint yourself with our website, and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or email.

Why Kenai? The answer is simple for most anglers: the Kenai river serves as home to the largest King Salmon in the world. In the summer of 1985 an angler on the Kenai River shattered the world record for King Salmon. Weighing in at 97 pounds 4 ounces, the salmon was a monster of a fish, and the record has withstood the test of time. Flash forward 20+ years and people are still looking to defeat that record.

Hi-Lo Charters is your gateway to this exciting challenge. The lodge is a starting point for not only King Salmon fishing, but many other types of fishing as well. These include: halibut, silver salmon, rainbow trout, sockeye salmon, and many more. The combinations are endless, as you are able to participate in anything from fly fishing for rainbows, to deap sea fishing for halibut. It truly is an exemplary combination of fishing styles and species.

The hardest part of planning a trip to Kenai is choosing a guide. There are so many choices, but only a handful can be trusted to show you a good time and catch fish. Our manager, Melissa, excels at pairing you with the right guide for each type of trip you have planned.

That’s why Hi-Lo Charters is an excellent choice for your lodging and outfitting. We use only the best and most reputable guides. Combine that with excellent gear and more than 20 years of experience, and “That’s Experience You Can Trust”

  1. Looking to come back to do some fishing. It’s been a couple of years, but I’m sure the 5 day blow out for Halibut fishing probably is still the record. We are looking to do another 5-7 trip with a mix of King, Halibut. I think we’ll have about 4-8 people so I need to understand the costs for housing and fishing. Look forward to hearing back from you. I see Stan is still there pulling in the big ones…
