Yesterday was a great day for Freya Brier of Bellevue, WA and Theresa Brown of Boulder, CO. It was the first time either of them had tried salmon fishing. After 12-13 takedowns for the boat, and a lot of good bites, they were hooked. We will DEFINITELY be seeing these ladies on the river again.

As many of you have heard the Kenai River is currently closed to king fishing. This closure is for the first run of Chinook ONLY. The Kenai is expected to reopen on July 1, 2010 from the mouth of the river to the Soldotna Bridge.
Due to the closure, Hi-Lo is offering special discounted rates on king salmon/halibut combos in Cook Inlet for the rest of the month of June. We also have special rates for king fishing on the Kasilof River.
